About the Activities
Sweet Sunshine Daycare's children participate in various artistic activities to support their growing creativity. Many art projects are oriented around various subjects derived from our custom preschool program which include but are not limited to numbers, animals, and seasons, or range from festive holidays (e.g. Winter Holidays, Thanksgiving, Easter) to more sentimental and commemorative art projects (e.g. Birthdays, Parent’s Day, etc.). Every child at Sweet Sunshine Daycare has a dedicated storage space for their artwork to show their families when they come back home.
About the Instructor
Angela Baffa (Preschool and Arts & Crafts Teacher)
Angela has been working with children since 2006 and she is dedicated to her work. She carefully chooses an age-appropriate curriculum that will help build up the children’s cognitive development along with their fine motor and intellectual skills. She guides the kids through their very first steps to prepare them for writing and reading, recognizing letters of the alphabet, numbers, shapes, and colors. Through artwork, she inspires them to become more creative and build their self-esteem.
Angela truly enjoys the children’s curiosity through their playful experimentation and seeing their look of pride in their accomplishments: “It truly is a great experience seeing the children expressing themselves through art, and having lots of fun while learning.”
When Angela is not working she loves spending time doing puzzles, developing art and crafts on paper, and reading books. Angela also grew up doing dance classes such as ballet, jazz, contemporary, and samba. As of 2016, she has become a member of the dance group called “Don't quit your day job, dancers” and has been doing annual presentations at the Marin Civic Center Theater. She also has two birds: Olive Oil and Popeye.
